Our basic daily fun dive package includes three dives in the pristine waters of Komodo National Park and its surrounding features, featuring approximately 50 dive sites with varying conditions, ranging from calm, shallow waters to stronger currents and deeper depths. Komodo offers something for every diver.

When is the best time to dive in Komodo?
Fortunately, diving in Komodo is feasible throughout the year, so you may enjoy the wonders of this underwater haven whenever you go! There is always something to see in Komodo, from magnificent manta rays to vibrant reefs.
But other experiences are more appropriate for particular seasons of the year. Knowing what each season has to offer is helpful, whether you’re looking for clear visibility, calm waters, or big pelagic encounters. To help you choose the ideal time for your journey, allow us to take you through the seasonal highlights of diving in Komodo.
Komodo diving is best done during the dry season, which runs from April to October. The sea is calmer and sunny throughout the day. This is the optimal time to dive at North and Central dive sites. The rainy season lasts from November to December, the weather is unpleasant, and the current may be quite powerful. But now is the perfect time to view a lot of Mantas. The rainy season in Komodo reaches its climax in January and February. The weather is unpredictable, and the harbour manager occasionally forbids all boats from sailing out.

Morning Session
- 07:30 – Hotel pick up
- 08:00 – Departure from the harbor
- 09:00 – 1st dive
- 10:00 – Surface interval (~1 hour)
Midday Session
- 11:00 – 2nd dive
- 12:00 – Surface interval & lunch (~1 hour)
- 13:00 – 3rd dive
Afternoon Wrap-Up
- 14:00 – Return back to Labuan Bajo
- 15:00 – Arrive at the harbor
- 15:30 – You are back at your hotel
Dive Planning & Safety
Every dive we organise is carefully designed to ensure your safety and enjoyment. We alternate dive sites every 2-3 days based on tides, certification levels, and experience, ensuring that each site is enjoyable and appropriate for all.
- Daily briefings with the dive master/instructor before each dive
- Multi-day divers discuss upcoming dive sites each evening
- Different dive sites are explored daily for variety

- The maximum discount available is 20%, valid only for direct bookings made with Red Whale Dive Center.
- 2 Dives + Rinca Trekking (IDR 2,800,000/person) is available, depending on our dive site schedule. Please reach out to our admin for more information.
- Snorkelers (IDR 1,000,000/person) are welcome to join the diving boat, depending on the dive plan of the day. Contact us to check the current schedule and availability.
